What I am,
not who, is a gamer, a gamer of over 25 years. Just turning 30 this past year, and looking at this massive display of video games I own, I have decided "I really need to start playing and beat all of these". I own well over 100 games on various gaming consoles, I can probably say I have beaten a handful of them...Pathetic, right? For the year of 2011 I've decided to make it a goal of mine, to start beating and reviewing games.Of course should I venture from one game to another, posting on here will help me remember where I was upon my return Yes some may be from 4-5 years ago, but I feel a lot of today's gaming world has a huge following on retro games.
I personally like all types of games. Sports to action, first person shooters to puzzle, fighting to real time strategy. Do I have favorites? Of course, but who doesn't. I'll provide the best review I can towards the game, hoping one day someone may stumble upon this blog and decide to pop in say "Braid" based on my thoughts. Gaming is a hobby of mine, one of many actually. Some nights I may site on my couch for a few hours playing in a multiplayer battle of epic proportions, while the next night I may pop in a Blue Ray of "Zombieland" then decide to play some "Ghostbusters". It all depends on what the hamster running on thetreamill in my mind feels like.
I consider myself a "lazy gamer" based on the fact that I buy games, and they just sit there while I focus on another at the time. This has been a huge problem since the days of the Nintendo 64. When I began working I would go out and get the newest games on a regular basis from my local "Software etc. and Electronics Boutique. If I couldn't afford it, I would trade in other games to get me to my goal. Ah my glory days of N64 gaming...Superman 64, Space Staion Silicon Valley, and Quest 64 were sadly purchased by me and sold back almost a week later. So begain the monster that I am today in the gaming world.:)
I'm sure I will post other things about my life than just gaming, but I will focus on it. I might as well post thoughts on upcoming games as well. Cheers to all the gamers out therer heading into a great 2011.
